Major AEW Star Wants Cody Rhodes To Induct Him Into WWE Hall Of Fame
A current AEW star has expressed their desire to be inducted by Cody Rhodes into the WWE Hall of Fame, should that ever happen.
Dustin Rhodes is currently on the shelf after undergoing double knee replacement surgery last year.
A couple of weeks earlier at All In: Texas, the 56-year-old had won his first title in the Jacksonville promotion after defeating Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara, and Kyle Fletcher for the vacant TNT Championship.
Despite being out of action, Rhodes has remained active on social media, providing health updates to fans while occasionally interacting with them as well.
Judging by his online activities, one of the touching subjects for the AEW star is the revival of his Goldust character from WWE.
On more than one occasion, Rhodes has claimed that he has retired the character and has no plans of portraying him any longer.
He even got into an argument with several fans recently, who accused him of taking money only to sit on the sidelines, which is the reason why he self-admittedly left the Stamford promotion.
AEW Star Wants To Be Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame By Cody Rhodes
Since leaving WWE for AEW, Dustin Rhodes has been vocal about his time with his former employer, and not all his comments have been positive.
And judging by his recent claims, he seems unsure if he has a place in WWE’s Hall of Fame, but if there is, he would like his half-brother, Cody Rhodes, to induct him.
Absolutely. I’m a very humble guy, though, it’s like, if it comes, it comes, whatever. I would love Cody to do it, and my daughter, specifically, both of them. That would be just great, the most meaningful, heartfelt. But if it comes, it comes; if it doesn’t, no big deal. I’ve had an awesome, incredible career. Doing some great things. [H/T: Fox News]
During his time in WWE, Dustin Rhodes was featured in an intense storyline alongside Cody Rhodes and their father, Dusty Rhodes, in which they stood up to The Authority.
