AEW Star Reportedly Suspended By Company

A new report has given an indication that a current AEW star is suspended by the company with them not being seen on television since September.

The last time Andrade El Idolo competed in AEW was back in early September at Full Gear when he was part of the Casino Ladder Match that was thwarted by MJF and The Firm.

After a few days of going back and forth on social media, El Idolo and Sammy Guevara got into a backstage scuffle during the 5th of October Dynamite broadcast. Andrade El Idolo was sent home from the show and his planned match against Dark Order’s 10 on the following edition of Rampage was abandoned. Guevara remained at the show and was said to not have physically responded to El Idolo.

Nothing has officially been confirmed by AEW regarding El Idolo’s status but they also didn’t comment on the suspensions of those involved in the alleged backstage fight at All Out including The Elite and CM Punk.

However, the Wrestling Observer has referred to Andrade as being “currently suspended from AEW” in relation to a report about him missing a planned non-AEW appearance. In a video posted on RGR Lucha Libre’s Facebook, Andrade El Idolo appears to be wearing a hospital gown as he explains he won’t be able to attend their show:

“Greetings to all my friends in Los Ángeles! I would have loved to meet you all this Sunday, but I had an issue to attend. I will be giving more details about it at a later date. If it had been up to me, I would have loved to be there with you all. I hope to see you all again in Los Ángeles and I apologize.”

The 20th of November show that El Idolo was meant to be attending will see Rey Fenix replace the former WWE star in a match with Dralistico.
