AEW Edited Reference To Cash Wheeler’s Arrest On Dynamite
Cash Wheeler made a reference to his arrest during a taped promo that aired on AEW Dynamite, but it didn’t air on television.
It was about one week ago when it was revealed that AEW Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler of the FTR tag team (with Dax Harwood) was arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm in Florida. The Orlando Sentinel was the first to report the news.
“Daniel Wheeler, a tag-team champion in All Elite Wrestling, was arrested Friday morning by the Orlando Police Department and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm. He was booked in Circuit Court, according to county records.”
The alleged victim claims they saw Wheeler “weaving in and out of traffic honking his horn”, and when they pulled over to let him past, he “pointed a black semi-automatic handgun out of the driver’s window at them with a strong stare.” This caused the alleged victim to “fear for their life.”
Wheeler pleaded not guilty to the charge on August 3rd and is requesting a jury trial for the case.
Despite the arrest, Wheeler is still expected to wrestle at All In regardless.
FTR And Young Bucks Promo On AEW Dynamite Was Edited
This past Wednesday on Dynamite, AEW Tag Team Champions FTR and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) did a pre-taped sitdown interview with Renee Paquette. There were comments from both sides, but Wheeler didn’t say much.
There was a longer, 4:31 version of the interview where Wheeler and Harwood got to say a bit more. Harwood took offense to The Young Bucks claiming they named FTR on the Bucks YouTube show.
As for Wheeler, he had a very interesting line that was likely a reference to his arrest: “I don’t know what’s next for me.”
Dax Harwood shared the video saying that it was “the version they didn’t want you to see.” Whether “they” references The Young Bucks or AEW itself is unknown.
