Following a hot night of Dynamite in New York City, AEW taped Rampage Grand Slam.

Dynamite Grand Slam returned to New York City for a huge night of action that saw four title matches on the show. Eddie Kingston kicked off proceedings with Claudio Castagnoli as he captured the Ring of Honor World Championship from his hated rival for the first time in his career.

Toni Storm only added to her recent misery by failing to dethrone Saraya for the AEW Women’s Title but there was better news for Rey Fenix as he defeated Jon Moxley for the AEW International Championship despite that not being part of the original plan.

The main event of the show saw MJF do what he came to do as he choked out Samoa Joe to retain his AEW World Title. After Dynamite aired, Rampage Grand Slam was taped to air on the 22nd of September and there was a huge feud started on the show between former tag team partners.
