AEW Grand Slam Australia Sees Kyle Fletcher Deliver A Dream Homecoming Night

The penultimate match of AEW Grand Slam Australia saw the hometown hero, Kyle Fletcher, defend his TNT Championship in a brutal ladder match in his hometown of Sydney.

Fletcher won the title for a second time this past week on AEW Dynamite, as he defeated Tommaso Ciampa in a brutal match. Following the match, he was confronted by former champion Mark Briscoe.

Briscoe and Fletcher had a 3-3 record in singles matches against each other, and they faced each other for one final time tonight in a ladder match for the TNT Title.

They wrestled an incredibly brutal match, which had the challenger bleeding from his head. The two wreaked havoc all across the squared circle and put each other through difficult situations.

They put each other through multiple ladders during the match and were both spent by the time the match came to an end, before Fletcher delivered a final blow to Briscoe to retain his title.

With both wrestlers up on the ladder, Fletcher hit a Brainbuster from the top of the ladder on Mark Briscoe, which left them lying flat in the ring. Kyle Fletcher gained some strength to climb up the ladder and pulled the belt from the top to emerge victorious in front of his home fans.
