AEW Fans Score Free Tickets Amid Poor Turnout At House Rules Show In Australia

AEW’s recent shows in Australia have been far from perfect.

The issues started at Grand Slam Australia, where fans called out the company for the limited availability of merchandise.

Visitors reported that replica championship belts, Tony Storm event-exclusive figures, and Adam Copeland and Kenny Omega t-shirts sold out within an hour of the gates opening.

Fans also complained about long lines and weak inventory. One fan who attended the Grand Slam event in Brisbane last year recalled a similar experience, calling it deja vu this time around.

Unfortunately, nothing much changed when the event moved to Brisbane the following day, on February 15.

The merchandise issues prevailed again at House Rules, with fans taking to X and tagging the company to express their frustration.

Some stated that the merchandise available in Brisbane were those from the previous night at Grand Slam Australia. The lack of event-specific merch left them with very limited options to choose from.

AEW Forced To Give Out Free Tickets In Brisbane

If Tony Khan & Co. did not anticipate their limited merchandise availability to become a problem, they had another thing coming.

This issue, and a major one at that, pertained to the number of leftover tickets at the House Rules show in Brisbane.

During Grand Slam Australia, tweets about the company giving away free tickets surfaced online. A similar incident occurred in Brisbane, too, as fans wrote online about either getting free tickets to the show or their seats getting upgraded for no additional cost.
