AEW Dynamite Sees Willow Nightingale Stand Tall After Gruesome Battle

AEW Dynamite was scheduled to be an action-packed episode tonight, with multiple high-profile matches already announced for the show, including a title defense.

The night began with an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match as Jon Moxley took on Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family. The champion emerged victorious to start the show right for himself.

The next match of the night saw Willow Nightingale defend her TBS Championship in a four-way clash. The champion took on Marina Shafir, Megan Bayne, and Mina Shirakawa in the match.

Willow Nightingale retains her championship on AEW Dynamite

Nightingale was coming off the back of a brutal tag team title defense in Australia, but got the match off to a dominant start for herself. She tried her best to hold onto the title in this four-way match.

She was being targeted by Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne, both of whom have a past with Nightingale. However, the former tag team partners fell out as they both looked to get their hands on the championship.

Bayne took Shafir out of the equation by slamming her into the announce table before being taken out herself as she suffered a German Suplex from the top rope. Mina Shirakawa took advantage of the situation and unleashed a flurry of attacks on Willow Nightingale, but the champion trapped her in an inside-cradle pin to retain her belt.
