AEW Double Or Nothing Main Event Confirmed

MJF Sammy Guevara AEW

AEW World Champion MJF and Sammy Guevara thought they had gamed the system and colluded to make the Double or Nothing main event a one-on-one bout between themselves but Tony Khan had other ideas.

MJF had gotten himself involved in Guevara’s Pillars tournament match against Darby Allin for the right to face the champion for the gold on pay-per-view. As a result, through his conduit Tony Schiavone, Tony Khan announced that Dynamite in Baltimore would see MJF team with Guevara to take on both Darby Allin and Jungle Boy Jack Perry – who had previously been eliminated from the tournament in a tag team match.

The stipulation was simple if MJF and The Spanish God won then the Double Or Nothing main event would be between the two of them, but if Allin and Perry won, fans would get the highly anticipated Pillars four-way match for the AEW World Championship.

MJF and Sammy Guevara got off to a good start but with egos taking over later in the match, their partnership quickly fell apart which allowed Darby Allin to nail Guevara with a coffin drop for the win. This marks the first time in company history that the AEW World Title will be defended in a four-way match.
