AEW And Brody King Moving On From Malakai Black

Brody King entrance AEW Dynamite

A new trademark filing has again hinted that Malakai Black won’t return to AEW.

Brody King has filed to trademark the phrase “Hounds of Hell” for professional wrestling and entertainment purposes. The trademark was filed on January 15th.

Many fans have speculated that the trademark could be the name of a new faction involving Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart as they move away from Malakai Black. In recent on-screen segments, the likes of Cope and Will Ospreay have attempted to put distance between King, Matthews, and the House of Black. Interestingly, Hart hasn’t been involved with the group as a whole since returning from injury.

You can find the full trademark description below.

Malakai Black Closing On AEW Exit

Following the January 9th edition of Dynamite, it was reported that Malakai Black was done with the company. Black has been linked with a return to WWE for several years, and those rumours have only gathered pace as Triple H has continued to put his stamp on the sports entertainment giant. The Game worked closely with Black in NXT and is said to be a huge admirer of the star.

It’s since been claimed that many in AEW were frustrated by Malakai Black’s unwillingness to lose after it became clear he wanted to return to WWE.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has claimed the likes of Black, Rey Fenix, Miro, and Ricky Starks will all sign with WWE when their current contracts expire.
