AEW Battle Of The Belts IV Results
The AEW Battle of the Belts IV show saw Pac defend the AEW All-Atlantic Championship, Jade Cargill put the TBS Title on the line and FTR had an ROH Tag Team Title defense in the main event.
My original plan was to write a detailed review like I did AEW Rampage earlier in the day, but I just don’t have time or energy to do it knowing I have a major WWE show to write about later tonight. Since there were no title changes on this Battle of the Belts show, there really wasn’t much in terms of newsworthy items on the show.
It was a live show airing at 11 pm ET for one hour on TNT. It took place at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, DC. I am using the recap that is on AEW’s official website for the results of the show.
The commentary team was Excalibur, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone.
* Pac defeated Trent Beretta to retain the AEW All-Atlantic Championship.
It was a competitive match the whole way including a big table spot during the match. Pac ended up getting the win by hitting Trent with the bell hammer that’s ringside. It’s what Pac did earlier in the night on Rampage and also did to Orange Cassidy in the past. The referee didn’t see Pac use the hammer.
After the match, Orange Cassidy went to the ring and attacked Pac with punches because Pac hit Orange with the hammer in the past. Orange is also a “best friend” of Trent. It should set up another Pac-Cassidy match.
Chris Jericho, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker were interviewed. Menard and Parker said they were disappointed in Daniel Garcia while Jericho said he’d beat Bryan Danielson on Dynamite in Toronto next week.
Claudio Castagnoli was shown saying he wanted to face the winner of the ROH World Title match between champion Chris Jericho and challenger Bryan Danielson.
* Jade Cargill defeated Willow Nightingale to retain the TBS Title. Cargill is now 39-0 in her AEW career.

After the match, Nyla Rose left with the TBS Championship to likely set up a future match between Cargill and Rose in the future.
Matt Hardy was arguing with Ethan Page and Stokely Hathaway. They accused Matt of contract tampering with Private Party. Matt threatened to delete Page and Hathaway.
Hook was shown ripping up an envelope that the Trustbusters gave him. Thrilling.
Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida did a promo talking about facing Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter next week.
* FTR – Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler defeated The Gates of Agony – Kaun & Toa Liona (with Prince Nana) to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles
After the match, Brian Cage joined his allies in The Embassy to attack FTR. The TNT Champion Wardlow made the save and was joined by ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe as well. The show ended there.
That’s all for AEW Battle of the Belts IV.
