Adam Pearce Seemingly Drops Massive Chris Jericho Tease Before WWE RAW

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho could shock the wrestling fans by returning to WWE as soon as January 5.

It was recently revealed that his AEW contract expired on December 31, 2025, rendering him a free agent.

Months before his contract expired, there were speculations about Y2J possibly returning to his former employer. Jericho’s last appearance in All Elite Wrestling was in May.

Meanwhile, January 5 marks the first anniversary of the red brand on Netflix. The show has big things planned, with three title matches scheduled.

Sharing a video on X, the general manager of the brand, Adam Pearce, provided the line-up for the upcoming Raw episode while teasing a potential Chris Jericho return.

Alright, everybody, Monday Night Raw is live tomorrow night from Brooklyn, New York, and it is our one-year anniversary on Netflix. We have a stacked card, first things first, breaking news, for the first time in six months, Liv Morgan will be in singles action against Lyra Valkyria, and do not forget three humongous championship matches; who can break down the walls and claim the gold?

Breaking down the walls is a reference to Jericho’s theme song and also the name of his submission finisher.

Wrestling World Divided On Chris Jericho’s Potential Return To WWE

Despite speculations and reports, not everyone believes that Chris Jericho will return to WWE, not just for the January 5 episode, but forever.

During a recent episode of The Coach & Bro podcast, former head writer of the company, Vince Russo, claimed that Jericho does not need to return to the Stamford promotion.

One of the reasons he cited was the current demand for physicality, which the 55-year-old does not possess to go toe-to-toe with the young guns.

He also speculated that if Chris Jericho returned, it would be in a non-wrestling capacity.

He can’t come in and wrestle at all.

He doesn’t need to . We’re talkin about Chris Jericho here, he does not need to wrestle. You just need to get him in the right role and give him good creative, that’ all he needs.
