Reason Adam Page Blood & Guts Spot Was Scrapped Revealed

Hangman Adam Page

Adam Page was left hanging after a big Blood & Guts spot was scrapped on Dynamite in Boston.

Blood & Guts was exactly as described on the 19th of July edition of AEW Dynamite as the Blackpool Combat Club – bolstered by PAC and Konosuke Takeshita – went to war with The Elite – who were made golden following the inclusion of former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kota Ibushi.

The Golden Elite picked up the win after both PAC and Takeshita turned their back on the BCC and simply walked away from the fight. The match lasted most of the second hour of Dynamite but a new report has indicated that it should have ended sooner.

SI.com’s Justin Barrasso reported that the match should have ended earlier and because it ran long, a spot highlighting Adam Page had to be cut with Kenny Omega’s post-show promo originally planned to end Dynamite:

“A big moment for Page was scratched because of the lack of time, but all of the other key points were hit, with the notable exception being the postmatch interview from Omega.”

What did Adam Page and The Elite do after Blood & Guts?

The Blood & Guts match seemed to bring an end to the months-long feud between the Blackpool Combat Club and The Elite which really kicked into gear in October 2022 when Jon Moxley put Adam Page on the shelf during a match for the AEW World Championship.

Despite the blood spilled between all of them Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Jon Moxley shook hands with The Elite after the match, signalling that hostilities between the two groups are over, at least for now.

Jon Moxley will be part of a big Anything Goes match on the 200th episode of AEW Dynamite as he takes on two of AEW’s original stars.
