Adam Cole Speaks On Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly Possibly Joining AEW

Adam Cole enters ring

Adam Cole has commented on whether he thinks former NXT stars and current free agents Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly will join him in AEW.

Ever since news broke of Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano’s WWE contracts expiring following WarGames, speculation has been mounting on where the two will go next.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that many within WWE believe both Gargano and O’Reilly will re-sign with the company eventually. However, he also noted that there had been deals on the table which neither signed.

“Those at NXT are under the impression both will be back. But the reality is, both have new deals on the table, and neither signed them. Both could have signed and asked for time off. They wouldn’t have to not sign.”

Many fans think AEW would be a natural fit for both, especially O’Reilly given his history with Adam Cole and Bobby Fish, who both debuted with the promotion earlier in 2021.

Now, speaking on a panel at C2E2, Adam Cole has weighed in with his thoughts on whether we will see his former Undisputed Era teammate become All Elite.

“This is the honest to god truth, I have no idea what Kyle is going to do. I really don’t. I’m not sure he even knows what he’s going to do. But the idea of getting to reunite with Kyle as well as Bobby (Fish), hell yeah I would love that. Hell yeah I would, absolutely.”

Cole also replied to a fan asking who on the panel was most eager to “kick Johnny Gargano’s ass” if he did join AEW, jokingly giving his reasons for why it wouldn’t be him.

“I would but he only comes up to my waist.”
