An absent WWE Superstar has confirmed their injury status, having last appeared on Monday Night Raw’s 12 September broadcast.

Aliyah is indeed injured.

The one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion confirmed as such in a statement posted to her Instagram. Aliyah, who hasn’t wrestled since she and Raquel Rodriguez dropped the Women’s Tag Team Championships to Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, confirmed she’s suffered injuries to her ribs and AC bone. It’s unknown how long she’ll be out of action.

Signed to WWE in early 2015, Aliyah was officially called up to the main roster as part of the 2021 WWE Draft. Outside of holding the record for the quickest victory in WWE history at 3.17 seconds, Aliyah’a only sense of accomplishment came when she and Raquel Rodriguez lifted the vacant Women’s Tag Team Championships.

The match, held on 29 August, saw a controversial finish, with Dakota Kai being pinned despite being the illegal competitor. A rematch was subsequently confirmed, where Kai and IYO SKY captured the championships to mark their own first taste of main roster gold.

Where, exactly, Aliyah fits in when she returns remains unknown. Raquel Rodriguez is now aligned with Shotzi on SmackDown, seemingly leaving Aliyah by herself when she makes a full recovery.
