Big E Pays Emotional Tribute To Brodie Lee On RAW

On the September 20th edition of Monday Night RAW, new WWE Champion Big E paid an emotional tribute to his late friend Brodie Lee.

Big E opened the latest episode of RAW by celebrating his WWE Championship success from the week before.

The previous week, the New Day star cashed in his Money In The Bank contract to claim his first-ever World Title. In the show’s main event, Bobby Lashley initially retained the WWE Title by defeating Randy Orton. After the match, Lashley continued to dish out the punishment, laying out Riddle and putting Orton through the announce table.

However, the All-Mighty tweaked his knee in the process leaving him vulnerable to a potential cash-in. With Big E determined to keep his promise from earlier in the night he rushed to the ring to claim the title.

Now, on the 20th of September edition of RAW, Big E kicked off proceedings flanked by his New Day partners Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. E noted that despite it not being November 25th yet, he was ready to give thanks to everyone that helped him reach the crown jewel in WWE.

In an emotional address, Big E made sure to pay tribute to one star and friend no longer here:

“I’m grateful for all of you below the heavens, and one incredible friend above.”

In the show’s main event Big E took on Universal Champion Roman Reigns and now former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. As the chaotic encounter reached its final stages Lashley laid waste to Big E with a steel chair. An assault that was all legal under Triple Threat rules. With the New Day Star suffering on the mat, Reigns took the opportunity to hit Lashley with a devastating Spear to grab the win.
