WWE News: Smackdown Tag Team Title Match Added to Money in the Bank Kickoff Show, 11 Matches Total
The WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view takes place this Sunday, May 19th at the XL Center in Hartford, CT.
There are now 11 official matches on the show following last night’s edition of Smackdown. The match they added during Smackdown was a Smackdown Tag Team Titles match with new champions Daniel Bryan and Rowan defending their titles against The Usos, who are a Raw tag team getting another Smackdown Tag Team Title titles. Brand extension? What brand extension? With the new “Wild Card Rule” that WWE added last week, they are randomly changing things all the time.
Here’s the full lineup with eleven matches.
Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. AJ Styles
WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Kevin Owens
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Ali, Randy Orton, Andrade, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Naomi, Dana Brooke, Bayley, Mandy Rose, Ember Moon, Carmella
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Roman Reigns vs. Elias
Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lacey Evans
Steel Cage Match: Shane McMahon vs. The Miz
United States Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Rey Mysterio
Cruiserweight Championship: Tony Nese (c) vs. Ariya Daivari
Smackdown Tag Team Championships: Daniel Bryan and Rowan (c) vs. The Usos (KICKOFF SHOW)
I assume the Cruiserweight Championship match will be on the Kickoff Show and perhaps Samoa Joe/Mysterio as well.
The show is scheduled to run from 7pmET to 11pmET on WWE Network. It could go even longer than that, but we won’t find out until Sunday night.
There’s tough competition on Sunday night going against the Game of Thrones finale and the NBA’s Eastern Conference Final Game 3.
We will have a WWE Money in the Bank preview up on TJRWrestling on Friday.
