Report: Ryback Off WWE TV Indefinitely; Contract Disputes & Asking Off TV

TJR Wrestling

Ryback was not seen on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This is because Ryback was reportedly sent home and will be off of WWE television indefinitely. This is according to PWInsider.

The reason for this television absence is reportedly due to contract disputes. Ryback’s contract expires this summer and both parties are apparently at odds with one another in regards to negotiating a future contract. Another story, according to PWInsider, is that Ryback asked to be pulled off television. He has recently been vocal about his frustrations with the company. Ryback has made it known that he thinks WWE is dropping the ball on him and how he feels that he’s being very misused. He’s also alluded to going to “another world” to work in where his hard work pays off.

Mark’s reaction: I’ve never been a huge fan of Ryback and I don’t think WWE would be losing much if he were to not re-sign with them. WWE’s roster is arguably the most talented it’s ever been, so Ryback is naturally getting thrown in background stories and getting lost in the shuffle like a lot of other wrestlers. He was a part of The Million Dollar Tough Enough in 2004 and has officially been with the company for about a decade ever since he signed a developmental deal in 2006. I don’t know if being a main event player will ever be in the cards for Ryback and that’s clearly what he wants. Maybe a place like TNA would better suit him like it did Drew Galloway.

Are you a fan of Ryback? Do you think he has potential? Would you be upset if he left WWE? Let us know in the comment section below.
