WWE Veteran Reveals Truth About Real-Life Heat With JBL

WWE Hall Of Famer JBL Reflects On Whether The Montreal Screwjob Was Necessary

One WWE veteran has lifted the lid on his rumoured real-life heat with Hall of Famer, JBL.

JBL is a decorated WWE Hall of Famer, having held the WWE Championship, the Intercontinental Title, the US Championship, the European Title, the Hardcore Championship, and the WWE Tag Team Title on three occasions with his long-time partner, Faarooq.

Behind the scenes, JBL could rub people the wrong way. Famously, he was the victim of an airport assault by Steve Blackman after his antics caused the Lethal Weapon to live up to that nickname.

But are there issues between JBL and a controversial former WWE name?

Speaking on the Two Man Power Trip podcast, former WWE writer Vince Russo was asked about the rumoured heat between himself and JBL, and noted that there’s no animosity coming from him:

If there’s real heat, there’s heat from his side. There’s not heat for me. I have nothing to be upset with him about.

He’s said some really mean-spirited things about me. And I’ve not said anything mean-spirited about him other than he was the one that gave me the idea for the Brawl For All.

Russo also touched on JBL’s reputation for being a bully in the locker room and admitted he never saw any wrongdoing first-hand:

People ask me all the time about him being a bully and all that stuff. And I always say I never saw that. He never bullied me. I never saw him bully anybody.
