WWE Unveil John Cena Legacy Title

WWE have released a new championship belt to round off a month of celebrations to mark John Cena’s two decades with the company.

On the 27th June edition of Monday Night Raw, John Cena made his return to WWE television having been away since his loss to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2021.

The date marked exactly 20 years to the day when ‘The Doctor Of Thuganomics’ made his debut for the company, answering Kurt Angle’s open challenge and showing some ruthless aggression in the process. Whilst he didn’t go on to win that night, it served as a marker of what was to come over the next two decades.

On the latest edition of The Bump, there was one final announcement to mark #CenaMonth, when a new championship belt in honour of the 16-time World Champion was unveiled. With only 500 being made, the retail price can be expected to be reasonably high – it wasn’t announced, however for comparison the ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage legacy belt currently retails at $849.99.

The belt marks all 16 of John Cena’s World Championship reigns with a jewel as part of the centre plate. It also acts as a timeline of Cena’s career, from the days of Word Life and the Chain Gang to Hustle, Loyalty, Respect and U Can’t C Me. As you’d expect, the centre plate of the belt also spins.

You can watch the video of the belt being unveiled below.
