WWE Titles Set For Redesign

The Usos WWE Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Champions

Several WWE Championship belts could be set for a redesign with the polarizing tag team titles seemingly in line for a revamp.

Championship redesigns are nothing new in WWE with many fans defining the eras of when they became fans of the product by the design of the prestigious WWE Championship of the time. Whether it was the ‘winged eagle,’ the ‘big eagle,’ or even the dreaded ‘spinner’ belt, fans are as passionate about championship belt designs as they are about their favourite stars in the ring.

Now esteemed belt maker Dan Beltzer has taken to social media to share some information about title belt changes that are seemingly coming soon:

“New WWE Tag belts are described to me as being the existing design, dual plated, black strap and having a stacked, large WWE logo in the center. They also have the OLD never used tags which are the women’s tag style on colored straps. Women’s belts getting colored backing soon.”

The black strap could indicate that the company is doing away with the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships with the belt straps on each matching the colour of their respective brand. The Usos currently hold both those championships after they defeated Randy Orton and Riddle in May 2022 to unify the titles.
