Former WWE Champion In Awe Of Support From The Undertaker
The Undertaker has shown a lot of support to a WWE superstar who has been overwhelmed by it.
Chelsea Green, a former 2-time WWE Women’s US Champion, has found herself in controversy over comments made on WWE Unreal, the Netflix reality show.
During the second season of WWE Unreal, Hall of Famer Michael Hayes referred to Chelsea Green as somebody who is there to make other women on the roster look good, but she’s not necessarily somebody who should get a major singles push like Charlotte Flair or Tiffany Stratton, for example.
Those comments upset a lot of people. When Hayes was on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under Podcast, the Deadman defended Green and spoke about her talents as a WWE superstar.
I’ll put my two cents in, I think she’s underutilized. She, without a doubt, with just a hair more mean streak, she can be a top top player. She has that “it.” She has the “it” factor. There is a lot of great things coming for that young lady. I’m a big fan of hers.
Chelsea Green Thankful For The Undertaker Believing In Her
The Undertaker has worked with Green behind the scenes during AAA shows in Mexico because Undertaker is a big part of the AAA creative team and Green has been on many AAA shows over the last year. Green is also a former AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion with Ethan Page.
In an interview on The Bella Twins’ Nikki & Brie Show, Chelsea Green talked about what it’s like having the legendary WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker, supporting her in a major way.
“I check my texts, and he’s texted that to me, too. He has doubled down, got my phone number and texted me to hype me up. My sister and I had this crazy moment of, ‘Holy s**t, I’m doing it. I’m really doing it.’
I know everyone says, ‘You’re so funny. I watched you, and that’s hilarious,’ but there are always the same girls that are everyone’s favorite wrestlers. Rhea (Ripley) is always going to be everyone’s favorite wrestler. Stephanie (Vaquer) is always going to be everyone’s favorite wrestler. I’m used to that, and I support them, champion them, and they are my favorite wrestlers too, but to hear Undertaker saying my name and sticking up for little ol’ me, and saying it with such conviction. He did not hesitate for a second. He told me that in the text.
What is my life! Undertaker! I’m so thankful because I feel like he really stood ten toes down on how he felt. At the end of the day, I know Undertaker has had my back because he booked me to win the Mixed AAA Tag Titles.
He has believed in me since before Michael Hayes said that. Someone of that high status in wrestling, that means a lot to me. He doesn’t waste his breath on anyone.” (H/T Fightful)
