The Undertaker retired from WWE in-ring wrestling in 2020. While he is not returning to in-ring wrestling, he is still working with WWE in a creative role.

Back at WrestleMania 41, the global juggernaut made the announcement that it had purchased Mexican Lucha Libre promotion AAA.

Ever since it started working under WWE’s name, a few WWE figures have begun working with AAA. One of them is The Undertaker, who is working in a creative role.

The Undertaker opened up about his new WWE role

While speaking on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About?, The Phenom opened up about the role, and his vision for AAA’s product. He revealed that he is not trying to make it another RAW or SmackDown, but taking elements from it and trying to add value to the product.

Helping out with creative and doing some stuff with AAA, I’m trying to, my vision is to almost take a step back to step forward.

I’m really high on the physicality and the actual in-ring stuff, and things making sense, which is kinda difficult from where I’ve come from and then working with AAA, the Lucha Libre legacy is incredible, with the mask and there’s so many; this guy who has a son, who has a son. So all these legacies and all this culture is in there.

So what we’re trying to do is honor that, but give more production value to the product, and help storytell a little better, I think that’s the biggest thing.

That’s the key is, I’m not trying to make AAA, Lucha Libre, I’m not trying to make it Raw or SmackDown, WWE. I’m taking elements of that, adding it to what they already do, and trying to make a product that everyone will want to see.
