Legendary WWE Tag Team Reacts To Hall Of Fame Announcement
The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony for the 2026 class will take place on April 17, followed by two nights of WrestleMania 42.
Stephanie McMahon was announced as the first inductee during the Wrestlepalooza PLE last year, whereas on February 23, AJ Styles was added to the elite list by The Undertaker.
Taker, who was officially recognized as a Hall of Famer in 2022, announced the latest inductees in the form of Demolition, a multi-member faction comprising Ax (Bill Eadie) & Smash (Barry Darsow).
A third member, Crush, was introduced into the faction during the group’s third run as the WWF Tag Team Champions.
The Undertaker shared the video on his X account, where he informed Ax and Smash about their induction.

Newest WWE Hall Of Fame Inductees React To The Announcement
Demolition’s Ax and Smash recently appeared on the Edlow podcast, where the duo discussed their emotions after being announced as the newest inductees into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame.
Ax claimed that the feeling has yet to sink.
Well, it’s a little overwhelming, to be honest with you. We just got word of it the other day, and it’s an honor because to be involved with something in our profession and be accepted into that fraternity, with all the talent that’s in the Hall, it’s humbling. There’s a great amount of talent there, and to be considered worthy to be in the Hall is a very, very big thing for us.
Smash, too, echoed the sentiments, while reliving their interactions with fans during signings, where they would be asked about their potential induction into the HOF.
Yeah, just like Bill was saying, we go to a lot of signings—almost every weekend for years we’ve been doing this—and a lot of the fans keep saying, ‘When are you going to get in the Hall of Fame?’ And you never know because there are so many great tag teams. They ask us, ‘Who’s your favorite tag team?’ It’s so hard to say because they’re all our favorites. We love them all. So to suddenly get inducted into this Hall of Fame is just a huge, huge thing. We’re very excited about it.
