WWE Still Haven’t Decided Meaning Of Major SummerSlam Stipulation
One of the biggest matches at SummerSlam has a stipulation on it, but WWE hasn’t specified what the stipulation really means.
The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler split up at Money in the Bank last month when Baszler attacked Rousey to cost them the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Since then, Baszler has made the point that she has been sick of being in Ronda Rousey’s shadow. When Baszler has done promos about it, the fans have cheered her, which is weird for Baszler because she has been a heel for all of her WWE run.
Rousey and Baszler are set for a match at SummerSlam, but both women have referred to is a fight. This past Monday on Raw, WWE clarified that the Rousey-Baszler match will be an “MMA Rules” match.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that regarding the MMA Rules match, “nothing was announced because they hadn’t settled on exactly what MMA rules means.”
SummerSlam Match Likely To Ronda Rousey’s WWE Farewell For Now
The Ronda Rousey match with Shayna Baszler will likely serve as Rousey’s WWE exit match as well. While nothing has been officially announced by the company or Rousey herself, it’s believed that Rousey plans to move on after SummerSlam or shortly after that.
