WWE Star Suddenly Crowned New Champion Ahead Of Clash In Italy

A new champion has been crowned ahead of WWE Clash in Italy.

The sports entertainment juggernaut’s next big event is just hours away. Five matches have been announced, with four of them being for championships.

However, before that, a major title changed hands. Rey Fenix and Laredo Kid have been at each other’s throats in AAA. They headed into Week One of AAA’s Noche de Los Grande event (May 30) with a 1-1 record this month.

Rey Fenix challenged Laredo Kid for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship in Monterrey, Mexico, having failed to get the job done when the two stars fought on the May 23 edition of AAA on Fox.

Fenix and Kid had a back-and-forth encounter with both men coming close to picking up the victory. In the end, a Mexican Muscle Buster helped Rey Fenix get the three-count over his adversary and become the new AAA World Cruiserweight Champion.


This ended Kid’s 539-day reign with the gold. For those unaware, Fenix had relinquished the same title in 2023 due to commitments with other promotions at the time.

Big WWE reunion pitched

Rey Fenix and his real-life brother, Penta, have entertained fans worldwide for years as The Lucha Bros. before joining WWE. While speaking with ITR Wrestling recently, Ricardo Rodriguez called for Fenix and Penta’s reunion in the sports entertainment juggernaut as well.

Rodriguez especially highlighted the “good chemistry” between the two Mexican stars.

I think they should be back together. They had such good chemistry together. I still don’t fully understand why won’t put them together. Obviously, they were going to put them together in AAA, but one of them got hurt so I understand. But I think they should be together.

Both Rey Fenix and Penta (Intercontinental Champion) have now tasted singles success under the WWE umbrella. Having said that, could Triple H reunite the two brothers for a tag team run in WWE, somewhere down the line? Only time will tell.
