A former WWE manager and wrestler has called on a popular real-life sibling duo to reunite as a team.

Ricardo Rodriguez, who previously managed Alberto Del Rio in the Stamford promotion, shared his thoughts about reuniting Penta and Rey Fenix as a tag team on television.

Both Penta and Fenix have previously teamed up as Lucha Bros on the independent circuit and during their time in American wrestling promotions such as Total Nonstop Action (TNA) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

However, they have yet to team up together in WWE despite being in the company for more than a year. Penta is currently signed to the Raw brand, where he is the Intercontinental Champion. Fenix, on the other hand, is a SmackDown superstar.

While speaking in an interview with ITR Wrestling, Ricardo Rodriguez spoke about his vision of managing two different wrestlers. While he first named Penta, he also said that he would not have minded managing Andrade, who is now with AEW. He also expressed his eagerness of managing Rey Fenix, which is when he called for their reunion.

Penta. When Andrade was there I would have said Andrade. But Penta for sure or even Rey Fenix. Us Mexicans have to stick together.

I think they should be back together. They had such good chemistry together. I still don’t fully understand why won’t put them together. Obviously, they were going to put them together in AAA, but one of them got hurt so I understand. But I think they should be together.

Penta Is A Fighting Intercontinental Champion On WWE Raw

Penta exploded in the WWE scene when he debuted on the January 13 episode of Raw last year. In Season 1 of WWE Unreal, Paul Heyman was seen going ga-ga over the 41-year-old Mexican wrestler, which was considered a seal of approval by many fans.

The Mexican luchador was consistently built as a strong mid to upper-midcard wrestler, regularly competing against the likes of Ludwig Kaiser, Chad Gable, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and others.

He was also a key attraction in last year’s WrestleMania and Money in the Bank PLEs.

Penta won his first title in WWE in the form of the Intercontinental Championship on the March 2 episode of Raw, where he defeated Dominik Mysterio.

Since then, Penta has declared himself as a fighting champion, who frequently defends his title on both the red brand and AAA Lucha Libre in Mexico.

He recently put his title on the line against Ethan Page at Saturday Night’s Main Event, followed by versus Je’Von Evans on Raw.

In comparison, Rey Fenix has experienced a slow start in the company, and he is also featured more in AAA. His last match was against Laredo Kid for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship, which he lost.

No question sparks will fly when the real-life brothers reunite on live television as the Lucha Brothers. As fans, one can only hope that it’s a matter of when, not if — and hopefully soon.
