WWE Star Set To Quit Company

A popular WWE name will soon be a free agent.

During a recent interview, AEW’s Will Ospreay spoke of his frustration at how Ricochet was being used in WWE. Ospreay said it was “appalling” that the star was being used on the company’s Speed show on X when he’s one of the greatest high-flyers in the world.

The British star said he’s personally taken inspiration from Ricochet and sees him on the same level as Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.

This was followed by the news that Ricochet’s WWE contract is set to expire in the summer, with his current five-year deal coming to an end. The report added there was significant interest from several major promotions in securing the star’s services should he become a free agent.

Ricochet Will Leave WWE

It’s now been reported by Mike Johnson of PWinsider that Ricochet has given WWE notice that he plans to leave the company when his contract expires. As such, the former Intercontinental Champion will be written out of storylines in the coming weeks.

One source said they were giving him “all the credit in the world for betting on himself.” Johnson added that he expects Ricochet to be a hot commodity as soon as he hits free agency.
