This WWE star is saying goodbye to one brand and joining another.

WWE has seen many stars either retire or leave recently.

December 2025 saw the legendary John Cena’s career come to a close, and not long after, in January, another WWE legend, AJ Styles, would retire at the Royal Rumble. Both men would lose their final matches to the Career Killer Gunther.

Another star who left the company after his contract expired recently was Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa showed up at AEW and won and lost the TNT championship in a span of 11 days.

Continuing this trend of exits, another star has recently announced his, but this one is within the company’s boundaries.

WWE star Sean Legacy Leaves Evolve To Join NXT

Sean Legacy, who made a name for himself in the company’s Evolve brand, has now announced that he will be leaving Evolve to join NXT.

Legacy says that he will be one step closer to the main roster after joining NXT and thanked all his peers for the support.

Guys, all I ever wanted was an opportunity. I have been at this for 10, 10 long years. All I wanted was an opportunity and the ID program gave me that opportunity. There were moments when I thought Sean Legacy wasn’t going to mean anything, and the ID Program gave me that opportunity to perform and train at the Performance Center. Ladies and Gentleman, it is nice to say that the name Sean Legacy is now NXT. But, I’ve leaving this place in good hands.

He then went on to thank Cappucino Jones and the rest of his crew and the fans.

Legacy started his wrestling journey in 2016 and notably faced Will Hobbs (now Royce Keys in WWE) on an episode of AEW Dark in 2020.

He joined the WWE’s ID Developmental Program in 2024 and, in July 2025, was one of the six finalists to crown the first-ever ID Champion.
