WWE Star Wants To Give John Cena “A Warm, Warm Welcome” Back To Raw
WWE United States Champion Austin Theory looks set to be in the firing line of John Cena as he says he wants to give Cena “a warm, warm welcome” when he returns to Raw.
WWE recently sent out an email touting that John Cena will be part of Monday Night Raw on March 6th when the red brand returns to Boston:
“16-Time World Champion John Cena will appear LIVE at TD Garden in Boston, MA for the 3/6/23 edition of Monday Night RAW.
“Don’t miss out on seeing this epic Monday Night RAW on the Road to WrestleMania LIVE!
“Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster”
Rumours have swirled for months that John Cena will be part of WrestleMania 39 and a showdown between him and US Champion Austin Theory seems to be inevitable – especially after comments Theory made after Raw in Ottawa.
Speaking in a digital exclusive interview after Raw, Theory noted that he can’t wait for Cena to return:
“The headlines now, they certainly read Austin Theory is the now and the forever of the WWE. That little John Cena thing, two weeks away, Monday night Raw, John Cena, I can’t wait for that.
“I can’t wait to bring him home and give him a warm, warm welcome to Monday night Raw. Do you want to know why? Because things are a little different around here now. Now, the now. Remember that.”
On Raw, Theory successfully defended his US Title against WWE Hall of Famer Edge. Edge was attacked by Finn Balor as the two men look set to continue their rivalry all the way to WrestleMania 39.
