WWE Signs Saudi Star Before Royal Rumble
WWE has just so happened to have signed a Saudi Arabian star days before the Royal Rumble takes place in the Kingdom.
As TKO bosses look to push WWE’s revenue to heights previously thought unthinkable, the company is holding the annual Royal Rumble event for the first time ever in Saudi Arabia. The show, taking place on January 31st 2026, is sure to have plenty of surprises as thirty men and women battle for the right to a title shot at WrestleMania 42.
Fifteen men have already declared for the men’s Rumble match, among them Roman Reigns as well as former NXT Champion Oba Femi. But there could well be a space in that match for WWE’s newest signing, who just so happens to come from Saudi Arabia.
WWE Sign Up Saudi Arabian Star
Turki Alalshikh announced on social media that Fahad Tuwaiq had signed with WWE:
Our guy that we support in WWE, Fahad Sahli… May Allah grant you success, and I’ve been your fan from now on [translation via Google]

WWE filed a trademark for Fahad Sahli’s new ring name in December 2025. Tuwaiq Mountain is in Saudi Arabia, and at Super Showdown in 2020, The Undertaker famously won the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy in a gauntlet match, last eliminating AJ Styles, and setting up their Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36.
Before WWE’s first show as part of its ten-year deal with Saudi Arabia, the company signed another Saudi star, Mansoor. Despite barely being featured on WWE television, Mansoor won a huge 51-man battle royal at Super Showdown in 2019 to keep its hosts happy.
It is unknown what the Saudi Arabian authorities would make of Mansoor’s current character in AEW, where he is part of the MxM TV with tag team partner Mace, Johnny TV, and Taya Valkyrie.
