WWE Reveals Brand New Championship

Triple H WWE Champion

There is a brand new championship coming to WWE to go alongside its brand new show which will showcase a new concept in the company.

Corey Graves was part of a video shared on social media to introduce the new show, WWE Speed, which will air exclusively on Twitter/X.

The stars of the company will compete on Speed in three-minute matches and there will be a prize on the line for those taking part.

New WWE Title To Be Decided By Intriguing Tournament

The all-new WWE Speed Championship will be up for grabs with the first champion being crowned following a tournament. Although, quite how that tournament will look is unknown with WWE promising a “tournament like no other where every match is a finale and every second could define a superstar’s legacy.”

WWE Speed will debut ahead of WrestleMania 40 on Wednesday, April 3rd.

The new title becomes the 16th active championship in WWE. There are currently 5 NXT championships in the company while the main roster already has eleven although the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships have been unified since 2022.

The longest-reigning current champion in WWE by quite some distance is Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns will put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40.
