The Usos recently returned to the WWE’s tag team division following Jey Uso’s hugely successful singles run and immediately returned to the top of the division.

They’re one of the best tag teams in the history of the promotion, and shortly after their return to the division, The Usos became the World Tag Team Champions as they defeated Dragon Lee and AJ Styles for the belts.

However, since winning the belts on 2025’s final episode of Monday Night RAW, the duo haven’t defended the titles once, and a fatal-four-way number one contender’s match was scheduled for tonight’s show.

Apha Academy wins big on WWE RAW

The tag team division on Monday Night RAW got a huge opportunity to earn a shot at the titles tonight, which saw the Creed Brothers, Alpha Academy, The New Day, and Los Americanos wrestle for the number one contender’s spot.

Jey Uso sat on the ringside as he studied his would-be challengers from near the announcer’s table as all four teams put their best foot forward. Otis dominated parts of the match and took everyone out before going for the win after hitting the worm, but the pin was broken by everyone else.

It was Akira Tozawa’s turn to shine as he hit a trouble in paradise on Kofi and headed to the top rope, but was interrupted by Grayson Waller, who was taken out by Otis and Jey Uso.

The Alpha Academy continued to impress on the night as Otis cleared the field for Tozawa as he hit a senton from the top rope on Julius Creed to seal the win and become the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championships.
