WWE Official Hits Back At Calls For Immediate Firing
A WWE official has hit back following calls for them to be fired after something went seriously wrong in the ring.
Elton Prince was last seen in WWE back in May 2025 as part of a tag team match where almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Prince was injured during the bout and has now undergone serious neck surgery to try to get his career back on track.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez shed more light on what caused Prince’s injury and pointed to one pivotal moment in his last match:
I think what hurt his neck, I think, was right before that they did a combo reverse DDT, like a Scorpion Death Drop except Frazer went belly first and Axiom hit an elbow or something and Frazer went down.
It looked like what happened was Frazer’s forearm was behind [Prince’s] head as he had his neck hooked and he didn’t move the arm and it looked like the neck fell right on the forearm and it was just one of those things in wrestling and he immediately got his face smashed. It was a disaster of a match.
WWE Referee Not Happy With Firing Calls
As footage of the spot did the rounds online, various trolls called for the match referee, Daphanie LaShaunn, to be fired for not stopping the match immediately.
Now LaShaunn has fired back on social media, telling one fan:
I truly admire your consistency to be loud and wrong.

She also suggested that she’d be deactivating her X account due to the amount of abuse and trolling she receives on it.
