WWE News: Roman Reigns vs. Rey Mysterio Hell in a Cell Match for Universal Title Added to Hell in a Cell PPV on June 20

The Universal Title will be on the line at WWE Hell in a Cell on June 20 and it’s going to take place in a Hell in a Cell match.

The match will see Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending the title against one half of the Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Rey Mysterio. The reason for the match is because Reigns beat up Dominik Mysterio on Smackdown two weeks ago. Last night on Smackdown, Rey challenged Reigns to the Hell in a Cell match. Before Reigns could answer, Rey and Dominik attacked Reigns. That led to Roman beating up both guys to end the show.

Earlier today on Talking Smack, Roman’s “Special Counsel” Paul Heyman confirmed that Reigns accepted the Hell in a Cell match challenge. That means there are now two Hell in a Cell matches at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

Here’s the lineup for WWE Hell in a Cell as of right now:

Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Universal Championships: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

Raw Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley

You can watch WWE Hell in a Cell Sunday, June 20 at 8 ET/5 PT on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network everywhere else.
