WWE News: Rezar of AOP Tag Team Dealing with Arm Injury, Nia Jax Ready to Return

TJR Wrestling

There is never a good time to get injured in WWE, but only a month before Wrestlemania is definitely one of the worst times. Unfortunately for Rezar of AOP, it looks like that is exactly what happened. During the eight-man tag match that saw AOP team with Murphy and Seth Rollins to face The Viking Raiders and Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, Rezar appeared to suffer an arm injury according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live. It was reported by Fightful that Rezar told Rollins about it and he wasn’t involved in much of the rest of the match.

It is unknown at this time how severe the injury is or when it occurred during the match, but Alvarez did note that it appeared Rezar may have suffered a torn bicep. If it’s a torn bicep that would require surgery and an absence of anywhere from five to seven months.

There has been no statement from WWE about an arm injury to Rezar.

While one WWE Superstar may be out with an injury, another is reportedly set to return. Nia Jax is cleared to return to in-ring action and is just waiting for WWE to work her into storylines, according to PWInsider.

Jax is expected to make her return as a Smackdown Superstar and could appear as soon as this Friday. Jax has been out of action since undergoing double knee surgery last April. Jax has not competed in a televised match since last year’s Wrestlemania when The IIconics won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Match defeating Jax & Tamina, Bayley & Sasha Banks and Beth Phoenix & Natalya. Jax has already seemingly began setting up her return, calling out WWE creative and The Four Horsewomen on Twitter.

Matt’s Musings: Terrible news for Rezar, hopefully the injury isn’t that severe and he will be able to return quickly. As for Nia Jax, she is returning at a great time as who is competing for the Smackdown Women’s Title at Wrestlemania 36 is still unknown.
