An injury has caused a title change in NXT. Here’s the story from WWE.com and NXT General Manager William Regal.
X-rays confirmed a separated shoulder for Burch, an injury suffered in last week’s title defense against Finn Bálor and Karrion Kross.
Regal said he will address the matter further Wednesday night on NXT at 8/7 C on USA Network.
Lorcan & Burch had held the titles for 152 days since defeating Breezango last October.
Here is Regal’s tweet about it.
I can confirm this incredibly unfortunate news and make the difficult decision to vacate the #WWENXT Tag Team Titles. Furthermore, I will address the state of the titles further tomorrow night on @WWENXT. https://t.co/z3iQdC1Ruc

The injury happened when Karrion Kross did a double suplex on Lorcan and Burch at the same time.
TJR Thoughts: Injuries suck, but it’s part of the wrestling business. This will probably mean a team like Grizzled Young Veterans or MSK winning the titles soon. It depends on if MSK’s Wes Lee is ready to wrestle by the time they get to Takeover in a few weeks.
