WWE Makes Major Change To WrestleMania 42
WWE has made a major schedule change for this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.
WWE has changed the start time for WrestleMania 42 in Vegas to 2.30 pm on both Saturday, April 18th, and Sunday, April 19th.
WrestleMania usually starts in the late afternoon or early evening, but this year, WWE has decided to start the show early to give themselves some flexibility to tell stories and take their time with entrances and matches without the show going on too long into the night.
Ever since the company began to have WrestleMania over two consecutive nights in 2020, there have generally been seven matches featured on the card in one night. The change in start time allows the company to expand the card if need be.
WWE has yet to confirm whether 2.30 pm is the timing for the kickoff pre-show or the actual main card.
WWE WrestleMania 42 Vegas Card Is Still Open-Ended
WrestleMania 42 takes place in Vegas this year at the Allegiant Stadium, the same venue that hosted WrestleMania 41. This choice was made because of WrestleMania 41s good financial performance, and the idea to have Mania 42 in New Orleans was scrapped.
Although a lot of the card is yet to be planned, with many last-minute changes and uncertainty behind the scenes this year, two matches that have been confirmed are for the women’s and men’s World Heavyweight Championships. Men’s Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns will face Champion CM Punk, and women’s Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan will face Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
