A WWE legend recently made an unexpected announcement.

Rob Van Dam is currently on an injury hiatus, but it’s fair to assume that he keeps himself busy having become a father to twin daughters late last year.

Van Dam has been married to Katie Forbes, who is an independent wrestler, since 2021.

The 55-year-old star is expected to appear at WrestleMania 42 for a meet-and-greet session during the ‘Mania weekend, as announced by Fanatics.

While the ECW Original will be available on April 20 for signing, Fanatics also announced another huge surprise, which will be revealed at a later date.

‘RVD’ currently competes in the independent circuit and is also signed to WWE under a Legends contract.

Van Dam was an active performer in the Stamford promotion between 2001 and 2007, during which he became the company’s Heavyweight Champion as well as the then-revived ECW World Heavyweight Champion.

He also won other midcard titles as well as tag championships. He returned to the company for a second stint between 2013 and 2014.

WWE Legend Announces Wife’s In-Ring Return

Former WWE star Rob Van Dam has another reason to celebrate, which involves his wife Katie Forbes.

While speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, RVD announced that his wife is ready to step inside the wrestling ring two months after giving birth to their twin daughters.

Forbes has competed in the independent circuit, but also represented Impact Wrestling in the late 2010s.

Her last appearance as a performer was on the Future Stars of Wresling pay-per-view called Mecca X: Beynefit For Bey on March 3, 2025, where she unsuccessfully challenged Gypsy Mac for the FSW Women’s Championship.
