‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin may be retired from wrestling, but he is still cherished and celebrated.

Austin’s career was marred by injuries in its latter stages, which forced him into premature retirement. Since then, he has made sporadic appearances on WWE television, with his last match coming at WrestleMania 38 against Kevin Owens.

His legacy is also commemorated by the celebration of the “3:16 Day,” which honors his most iconic catchphrase: “Austin 3:16.”

After winning the 1996 King of the Ring tournament, Steve Austin, who was a heel at the time, cut a riveting promo while mocking his opponent, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, all while referencing the John 3:16 verse of the Bible.

The incident skyrocketed him into superstardom, with his ‘Austin:3:16’ merchandise selling like hot cakes every week.

Austin went on to become a 6-time World Champion, picking up heated feuds with the likes of The Rock, Triple H, Kane, The Undertaker, and Vince McMahon along the way.

The 61-year-old WWE Hall of Famer has now been announced for a huge appearance on 3:16 Day (March 16, 2026), which incidentally falls on the same day as Monday Night Raw.

Following the end of his WWE career, Steve Austin is focused on living a quiet life, but has picked up Desert Racing and has competed in a few events, too.

Apart from that, he regularly hosts the Broken Skull Sessions podcast, where he invites other names from the industry as a way to not only catch up but also update fans about their life.

Austin was also recently seen appearing on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, sharing an insight into his present-day life as well as traveling back in time to reminisce about his career.

It has now been announced that he will appear on the SiriusXM wrestling radio show Busted Open to celebrate ‘3:16 Day’ with Dave LaGreca and fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray.
