WWE Legend Sets One Condition To Come Out Of Retirement

A WWE legend is willing to come out of retirement on one condition.

After winning WWE Diva Search in 2006, Layla earned herself a contract with the sports entertainment juggernaut. She was quickly able to get over with the fans and establish herself as one of the top women on the roster. As a result, she was featured regularly on TV.

Layla was best known for her tag team with Michelle McCool called LayCool. They were one of the most entertaining acts on TV during that time. LayCool is still fondly remembered by the fans to this day. After leaving WWE in 2015, Layla has never stepped foot in a ring for a match. She hasn’t even returned to feature in the Royal Rumble like some other legends. It also doesn’t look like fans will get to see her compete in another match again.

WWE legend Layla is willing to come out of retirement on one condition

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Layla said that she is too out of shape to return to the ring. However, she would reconsider her stance if she got the opportunity to do something as LayCool along with Michelle McCool. She also made it clear that she is not trying to embarrass herself by having a match.

“No, I’m too old, and I’m out of shape. I can’t say never, because I feel like if there was ever an opportunity for Michelle and I to do something like LayCool or something like that, of course. But not a run or anything. But if there was ever that opportunity, I think that would be so wrong of me not to do that. So to me, that would be the only thing I think I would come back for. But am I trying to have a match or anything like that right now? No. Sorry, no one wants to see it. I don’t want to embarrass myself, I don’t want to tarnish what I’ve had in my past career, kind of thing. So if I never come back, then I’ll just rather leave it the way it was.”

It remains to be seen if fans will get to witness a LayCool reunion after more than ten years.
