WWE Legend Gets Brutally Honest About Relationship With Triple H: “Not The Same”
Speaking about his current relationship with Triple H, a WWE Hall of Famer revealed that it’s not the same as before. The legend also recalled their past relationship dynamic.
Since joining the WWE in the mid-1990s, Triple H has made a lot of friends who are still close to him. After a legendary run inside the ring, The Cerebral Assassin is currently the head booker in the Stamford-based promotion and the company’s CCO. On the other hand, Hunter’s best friend, Shawn Michaels, is appointed as the head booker of NXT. His friend, Road Dogg, was also one of the backstage producers in the company for years before his recent departure.
Many of The Game’s friends from the past often share their thoughts on his work as a booker as well. Meanwhile, Hunter’s long-time friend and a WWE Hall of Famer also got honest about their current relationship.
WWE legend Ric Flair on his relationship with Triple H
Ric Flair was a mentor and onscreen stablemate of Triple H in the ‘Evolution’ faction years ago. In 2023, Flair signed a deal with AEW, and fans have been skeptical about his dynamic with The Game ever since then.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, The Nature Boy recalled how Triple H did so much for him by bringing him into the WWE in the early 2000s and their time together in Evolution. Flair also revealed that while his current relationship with The Game is good, it’s not the same because of him running the Stamford-based promotion’s creative right now:
“Well, it’s good, I mean, we exchange pleasantries, but here’s the deal with Triple H. He did do much for me. He did so much for me after [Eric] Bischoff destroyed me. And when he brought me into the company, which he did, I think more than Vince [McMahon] did, we did Evolution, which restored my confidence because Bischoff had completely killed me. So, I can’t get mad at him. Our relationship is not the same, but he has a lot on his plate. Running the WWE and being in charge of this and that, constantly being scrutinized,” Ric stated. Ric Flair has not made an appearance on WWE TV since 2022, and it is unclear whether he is still under contract with AEW. Only time will tell if The Nature Boy will be called up by The Game to make a TV appearance.
