WWE Holds Interest In Working With Major International Promotion

Former WWE Champion Reveals Details About An Infamous Public Fight

WWE has major plans for 2024.

In a move that no one saw coming, it was announced right before Christmas that WWE had a new working relationship with All-Japan Pro Wrestling. More specifically, the deal will see a partnership between NXT and the Japanese promotion.

This was followed by an announcement from William Regal that his son Charlie Dempsey will be heading to AJPW on January 3rd. The appearance was Regal’s first as an on-screen personality since he rejoined the company having left AEW in 2022. It was also the first time that it was acknowledged on WWE television that Dempsey was his son.

Furthermore, it seems that the company won’t be stopping there. As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company also holds an interest in working with Stardom.

“Besides the new deal working with All Japan, WWE has also expressed interest in working with Stardom. Nothing is finalized that we know of regarding that but WWE is confirmed interested.”

Stardom Star Expected To Sign With WWE

While a deal with Stardom might not be finalised, it’s seeming increasingly certain that Giulia will be leaving the promotion for WWE in 2024. In the same issue, Meltzer confirmed that Giulia’s contract with Stardom expires in March and it’s “increasingly likely” that she’ll make the jump to the sports entertainment giant, although it may not be immediately after her deal in Japan expires.
