Fans of Rhea Ripley will be happy with what WWE might have planned for her at WrestleMania 42.

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky won the Women’s Tag Team Championships on the first WWE Raw episode of the year, and the duo is now officially known as Rhiyo. There’s even new Rhiyo merchandise that fans can buy to support the new team.

The Women’s Tag Team division in WWE is stacked right now with numerous other contending teams such as Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez, Asuka & Kairi Sane, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax & Lash Legend, and others.

In fact, the team of Morgan & Perez beat Asuka & Sane on WWE Raw on January 12th to earn a shot at Rhiyo at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24th in Montreal.

While Ripley and Sky appear to be locked in as a tag team for the foreseeable future, WWE could have other plans for the duo by the time we get to WrestleMania 42 in April.

Rhea Ripley May Be Featured Heavily At WrestleMania 42

On a recent episode of Self Made Sessions, Self Made Pro reported that people within WWE have been talking about a potential Rhea Ripley-Iyo Sky singles match at WrestleMania 42, which could also main event one of the two nights of WrestleMania.

“The only women’s match that would main event WrestleMania this year would be that matchup, Rhea vs. IYO. So IYO vs. Rhea would be a match that could main event one of the nights, and that has been mentioned in meetings.”

As the discussion continued, it was made clear that nothing is locked in yet.

“I want to say this clearly: they’ve discussed it, and they have mentioned that IYO vs. Rhea is something they view as main-event level, but there are no guarantees that they’re actually going to do it. So that’s still up in the air. As of now, they don’t know what the Women’s World Title match is going to be, for the record.” (h/t Ringsidenews)

For now, these can just be considered rumors. At the present time, Ripley and Sky aren’t holding a singles title in WWE, but that could change in the months ahead.
