WWE Holds Emergency Meeting Over WrestleMania 42 Crisis
WWE is set to host the 42nd edition of WrestleMania this year in Las Vegas, following the successful event that the promotion hosted last year at the same city.
This year’s WrestleMania card is expected to be packed to the brim with exciting matches, with one match having already been announced. The Men’s Royal Rumble winner, Roman Reigns, will take on CM Punk at the event.
They will fight each other for the World Heavyweight Championship, whereas, the women’s Royal Rumble winner, Liv Morgan, might end up choosing Stephanie Vaquer’s Women’s World Championship.
Low ticket sales for WWE WrestleMania 42
WWE recently held an emergency meeting regarding the ticket sales for the event, which have been pretty low up until this point. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select stated that the promotion held a major meeting regarding it.
It stated that the meeting was held on February 11 with the aim of ramping up the promotion of the event, with sales expected to be ramped up as we get closer to the event.
“WWE held a multi-department company meeting yesterday to address WrestleMania ticket sales. According to a source, leadership acknowledged internally that the current numbers are below expectations, all departments have been tasked with developing strategies and promotions to roll out beginning in late February in an effort to boost momentum and sales heading into the event,” he said.
With less than two months remaining for the promotion’s biggest show of the year, WWE will be hoping to get back on track with the ticket sales for WrestleMania 42.
