WWE Considering Heel Turn For Top Female Star

There is a potential spoiler regarding one of the top women in WWE possibly turning heel soon.

The Raw Women’s Title match at WrestleMania 39 saw Bianca Belair defending her championship against Asuka, who earned the title match by winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match.

Going into WrestleMania, Asuka tried to play mind games by using the infamous mist that she has been known to use to intimidate opponents, but there was not a full heel turn going into the match.

Belair and Asuka would go on to have a babyface vs. babyface style match with Belair getting the win to continue her title reign. That title reign for Belair has surpassed the 400-day mark, which is the longest of any woman holding a Women’s Title in about 18 years.

As for Asuka, she has been active at WWE Live Events over the last month, but she hasn’t had a televised match since WrestleMania.

Belair and Asuka were both drafted to the Smackdown brand in the recent WWE Draft. According to PWInsider Elite (available via subscription), there is a “pitch to turn Asuka heel on the Smackdown brand.” The report noted that there was a discussion about Asuka possibly facing Belair at WWE Night of Champions on May 27th in Saudi Arabia.

During her WWE career, Asuka is a two-time Smackdown Women’s Champion, one-time Raw Women’s Champion and a three-time Women’s Tag Team Champion with three different partners – Kairi Sane, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. Whether she turns heel and beats Belair for the title is something we will have to see in the weeks ahead.

Tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown will take place from Knoxville, Tennessee and we will have a review here on TJRWrestling as always.
