WWE’s Giulia Explains How Hard She’s Working To Improve English Speaking Ability
Giulia is working hard to improve her English to become a better WWE superstar.
The current WWE superstar has more international flavor than ever, with several wrestlers coming from Japan, Mexico, and other places outside the United States and Canada.
As the Women’s United States Champion, Giulia came to WWE in September 2024 with a lot of fanfare after being a huge star in Japan’s Stardom promotion.
While Giulia is very talented in the ring, part of being a WWE superstar is talking on a microphone and in backstage segments, so it’s something that she has had to work on a lot.
In an interview with Adrian Hernandez, Giulia praised former Women’s Champion Nikki Cross of the Wyatt Sicks for helping her a lot in WWE.
“Oh, yes. Nikki Cross. She’s so nice. Oh, so scary. But she’s scary. But yeah, if she is not with me. Yeah, I always struggle, more struggle. But she helped me a lot. She’s my treasure.”
Giulia also praised her on-screen ally, Kiana James.
“Also she helped me a lot because my English is bad, really bad. So, sometimes I cannot understand people who is talking so fast.”
Yeah, but some people super, super fast, super fast first and then she’s here. She’s standing behind me and translate easy English and yeah, she’s so nice and we, I think we respect each other and yeah, it’s really meaningful.”
Even though she’s busy as a WWE superstar and a champion representing the company, the Women’s US Champion is taking classes to improve her English.
“So, I go to English class twice a week and then also I take extra English class. And an app like on the phone. And YouTube. And if I have time, I sit down, study, study, study. So, every day because my English was zero when I came here.”
Giulia Facing Tiffany Stratton At WWE SmackDown
Up next for the Women’s US Champion, Giulia, is a title defense against Tiffany Stratton on the March 27th edition of WWE SmackDown. Stratton earned the title shot after beating Kiana James. It was rumored that the Giulia/Stratton match would be at WrestleMania, and it still might be, but it’s taking place on SmackDown first.
This is Giulia’s second reign as the Women’s US Champion, beginning on January 2nd, when she defeated Chelsea Green to reclaim the title.
