After months of speculation, one WWE talent will be making an on-screen debut on the October 13th episode of SmackDown.

The October 13th episode of SmackDown will emanate from the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK, and according to a new report from PWInsider, fans in attendance will see the on-screen debut of Nick Aldis.

The former NWA Champion has been working as a producer with the company for some time, though his contract status has remained unclear. PWInsider states that he’ll be appearing on-screen as an authority figure on the blue brand going forward, which likely means he’s signed a contract with the sports entertainment giant.

PWInsider also notes that Aldis’ debut could be the much-hyped Triple H announcement scheduled for the broadcast, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Nick Aldis Called Working For WWE “Rewarding” Ahead Of His SmackDown Debut

Speaking in a recent interview with McGuire on Wrestling, Aldis confirmed that he was working with WWE and called the experience rewarding.

“I think it’s safe to say I’m working with WWE, yes. That’s the way I look at it — I’m working with them at the moment. At least from my point of view, I feel like it’s been very positive, and I’ve enjoyed it. And it’s been rewarding, and I’m very obviously flattered that they would want my input and expertise, … especially with helping some of the younger talent that are coming up from NXT.”

Continuing, the former NWA Champion praised WWE for being understanding about his schedule.

“Fortunately, WWE [has] been very understanding of [my schedule]. There have been times where I’ve been unable to make certain shows because of my independent commitments, and also because of Mickie’s commitments. Fitting it all in is a challenge, but certainly fun. Basically, I’m currently attending ‘Raw’ and ‘SmackDown’ whenever I can.” (h/t WrestlingInc)
