Brie Bella set a unique record as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella made her WWE in-ring return in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. It was Brie’s first WWE match in four years.
Since the appearance at the Rumble, Brie has focused on tag team action. When Brie’s sister went down with an ankle injury before WrestleMania, a returning Paige became Brie’s partner at WrestleMania 42.
In their first match together, Brie Bella and Paige became the Women’s Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania 42. It was the first time either woman held the Women’s Tag Team Titles in WWE since the titles didn’t exist when both women were full-timers in the past.
As the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Brie and Paige had four successful title defenses as they proved they were fighting champions. Considering Liv Morgan has had zero title defenses as the Women’s World Champion after winning it at WrestleMania, having four title defenses is a lot in today’s WWE.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event last week, Brie Bella and Paige lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, who are relatively new to the WWE main roster.
Following the title loss, it was revealed that Brie Bella set a record for having the longest title reign of an active WWE Hall of Famer at 91 days.

Brie Bella Will Be Part Of 6-Woman Tag Team Match At WWE SummerSlam
At WWE SmackDown in Oakland, Brie Bella beat Lainey Reid in a singles match. Reid had her allies Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne at ringside, but Brie’s buddy Paige was there to neutralize them. Brie ended up getting a sunset flip to beat Reid.
After the match, Fatal Influence’s Jayne, Henley, and Reid attacked Brie and Paige, which led to Nikki Bella making her return from a serious ankle injury.
Nikki Bella did a promo saying you think that you can come from the minor leagues and steal the Women’s Tag Team Titles from her sisters and get away with it. Nikki said they are the reason that Fatal Influence are there. Nikki said it’s time for a wakeup call, so Nikki said it will be a 6-woman tag at SummerSlam. The fans cheered. The match is official.
