For just the fifth time in history, WWE’s women will do battle in an Elimination Chamber match which will determine a number one contender for a women’s title.

The first time the female stars of WWE entered the devil’s playground was back in February 2018 when Alexa Bliss retained her Raw Women’s Championship against Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mickie James, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville.

On Raw in Tulsa, Oklahoma WWE official Adam Pearce announced the latest women’s Elimination Chamber match to take place at the eponymous premium live event on February 18th. This match will determine a number one contender to meet Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39 for the Raw Women’s Championship after Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley declared she was challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a rematch from WrestleMania 36.

Adam Pearce named the first four competitors in the Chamber match with two spots left open for the remaining women on the brand to compete over. The final four runners-up from the Royal Rumble were picked for the bout meaning Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, and Liv Morgan have one more shot to make it to a title match at WrestleMania.

The first of the two remaining competitors will be the winner of a fatal four-way match to take place on the 6th of February edition of Raw. The participants in that match are Candice LeRae, Michin Mia Yim, Piper Niven, and the returning Carmella.
