Cody Rhodes WWE

Cody Rhodes has not appeared since Drew McIntyre delivered a brutal Claymore kick, sending him crashing through the announcers’ table on SmackDown following SummerSlam 2025.

Drew McIntyre Is Eager To Get His Hands on Cody Rhodes

In a recent workout video, Drew McIntyre shared his frustrations about the past few chaotic weeks involving his quest for the WWE Championship. He referenced injuring Cody Rhodes and admitted his impatience with Rhodes’ ongoing absence.

He expressed doubts about when Cody Rhodes would actually return, and accused WWE of protecting its golden boy and lamented the lack of honest information regarding Rhodes’ true condition, while vowing to continue his chase for the championship.

“It’s the last few weeks, chaos, fights back and forth to Europe, passport issues, kicking Cody’s stupid head through the table, and maybe I went a little too far, because I want that title. God knows when he’s gonna be back now, and WWE sure as hell not gonna reveal what was actually wrong with their Golden Boy. Enjoy that title you can, Cody, it’s a gift.”

Drew McIntyre’s Warning To Randy Orton

Speaking in the video, McIntyre then turned his focus to Randy Orton. He criticized Orton for inserting himself into his business and likened the veteran to Old Yeller, the dog from the classic novel that ultimately has to be put down. McIntyre proclaimed Orton a legend nearing the end of his career, suggesting that Orton is searching for one last blaze of glory before leaving WWE.

McIntyre then declared his readiness to end Orton’s journey, confident that the Viper sees the finish line approaching and is preparing his own exit. He ended his message with a stern warning, cautioning Orton against future sneak attacks and promising violent repercussions if challenged again.
